Caroline Dickinson was the sister of a very good friend of mine. It absolutely tore her family apart. The story of how the killer was caught is incredible. I think I would struggle to watch it, though I can't think of anyone more empathetic and more respectful than. Emma to cover it.

I just need to say, that author Wesley Clarkson has some pretty terrible books out there. I wouldn't take anything he says worth a grain of salt.

I think I remember as a kid that the parents came on GMTV and viewers started phoning in saying they thought her poor dad was too “smiley” for a dad with a missing girl. The presenters even put that question to him.

@emma Kenny injustice makes me feel like a time bomb, it's very scary that he/she ie the killer is still out there, I really don't believe we will find out the truth because lack of dna, and maybe the killer is also dead, the police were so stupid in this case 😡, it reminds me of the case I asked you to cover over 2 years ago about the greek Cypriot millionaire who was killed on years eve in 1985 in his house in bishops avenue, I hope KARMA does find a way to bring us closer

What’s with searching people’s cars got to do with anything.

Not judgemental at all. There's no way a child should be out that late, and the fact that both parents didn't know she was missing for some time is sketchy (as well as a mother inviting her daughter to stay at the pub at that time) also wanting cornflakes enough to go down the shop at that time of night on her own, sparks red flags to me. Im not so sure we can rule out the family at this time. There is no evidence, however, plenty of poor choices, which i think deserves more investigation in case there is a link to someone she knew due to the opportunites that was clearly there for her to been alone with undesirable people. However, as you say, it could have been anyone so more investigation needs to be followed up

It just incenses me when the authorities mislead the public regarding the probable nature of a violent crime so as to assuage the community’s fears about having a killer on the loose who could strike again at any moment. I just came across Alison’s name on Tik Tok and was so pleased to see that you’d covered it. What an absolutely heartbreakingly horrific and at the same time amazing story of survival! So many miracles in Alison’s story, there’s no other explanation. It’s nice to see a happy ending and how she’s chosen to just thrive when no one would have blamed her if she’d chosen the opposite. I wish for nothing but happiness for Alison and hope those monsters never get to see the light of day. Thanks as always Emma for your empathetic telling of these horrendous crimes ❤

We share the exact same birthday. Right down to the year. She would be 43 right now. To think that she could have a life like mine, 4 daughters, a grandson and a granddaughter on the way, just breaks my heart. Her poor family. I will be sure to think of her every year on our Birthday and pray for closure and justice for Lindsay and her family.

that’s so stupid how reena made the decisions that she did. she put herself in that position. those girls took her in they befriended knowing how she was being made fun of knowing she wasn’t popular. reena should’ve just stayed on the sidelines in those friendships those were tough mean girls anyone is capable of murder she should’ve known.

One of my abusers lured me to Hebdon Bridge and a Scout Hut. I will speak to police when they are ready to take my evidence, which will be soon. I need to check my own evidence for dates of when I was there. My evidence is currently boxed up.
